Whenever I try to install RedHat Linux 4.2 (Intel, on CD rom) my computer reboots before it can complete the installation. I get the boot prompt, then initrd.img (followed by dots) then vmlinuz (with dots) then a screen of text which pops up too quickly to read after which it immediately reboots.

When I try to reload Corel 11, I get an "1628, cannot complete install" type error. Other software re-installed okay, just Corel 11 didnt. I deleted all Corel files and tried again...no go. I cleaned up the reg with cleanup software and tried again. Same message. Any suggestions??

It sounds like you are installing or trying to install to your existing partition...is that true? Do you get to the point where you select packages? or is this the initial boot from the first disk?
